The 32nd Meeting of the APT Wireless Group (AWG-32) 4 - 8 March 2024, Pattaya, Thailand, Hybrid Meeting
The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the 32nd Meeting of the APT Wireless Group (AWG-32) from 4 to 8 March 2024 in Pattaya, Thailand with physical attendance as well as virtual/online participation through Zoom meeting (i.e. hybrid meeting). The meeting was attended by 333 participants from APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members and International Organizations.
AWG-32 had been arranged for 5 working days with 4 parallel sessions a day. During AWG-32, there were over 50 sessions of Working Groups, Sub-Working Groups, Task Groups and AFIS Ad-Hoc Group to discuss the work progress on various work items. In addition, AWG-32 discussed the input contributions regarding proposals of new Work Items and adopted new Work Items.
AWG-32 considered 107 contributions and developed the following outcomes:
· APT Report on trends and spectrum developments for IMT usage in 2025 ~ 2030 in Asia-Pacific region · APT Report on operational information of a Non-GSO FSS earth station terminal on vessels and aircraft operated under FSS operating in the frequency bands 10.7-12.75 GHz (space-to-earth) and 14-14.5 GHz (earth-to-space) · Revision of APT Report on current status and future plan of usage in the frequency ranges of 7.125-24 GHz and 92-300 GHz in Asia-Pacific region · Revision of the APT Report on the status of implementation of the APT 700 band plan · Revision of APT Report on point-to-point radiocommunication systems operating in the frequency range 252-296 GHz · Revision of APT Report on FWS link performance under severe weather conditions · Revision of APT Report on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) · Revision of APT Report on impact study for non-beam WPT for mobile and portable devices · Questionnaire on the technical standards and regulations for millimeter wave radar/sensor technologies for ITS in Asia-Pacific region countries · Questionnaire on air-to-ground communication system bases on IMT technologies in the Asia-Pacific region · Liaison statements to APG
The next meeting of the AWG (AWG-33) will be held on 9-13 September 2024.

The 3rd Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for WTSA-24 (APT WTSA24-3) 30 April - 2 May 2024, Siem Reap, Cambodia, Hybrid Meeting
The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) will organize the 3rd Meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for WTSA-24 (APT WTSA24-3) from 30 April to 2 May 2024 in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The Meeting will be hosted by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of Cambodia (MPTC).
The objective of APT WTSA24-3 is to assist the APT members to prepare for the ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly 2024 (WTSA-24) which will take place in New Delhi, India from 15 to 24 October 2024. APT WTSA24-3 will discuss the issues to be identified for WTSA-24 and develop Preliminary APT Common Proposal (PACP) on those issues based on the input contributions from the APT members.

Meeting of the SATRC Working Group on Spectrum 7 - 9 May 2024, Lalitpur, Nepal, Hybrid Meeting
APT will organize the Meeting of the SATRC Working Group on Spectrum from 7 to 9 May 2024 in Lalitpur, Nepal with physical attendance as well as virtual/online participation through Zoom meeting (i.e. hybrid meeting). The Meeting will be hosted by Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA).

Meeting of the SATRC Working Group on Policy, Regulation and Services 14 - 16 May 2024, Islamabad, Pakistan, Hybrid Meeting
APT will organize the Meeting of the SATRC Working Group on Policy, Regulation and Services from 14 to 16 May 2024 in Islamabad, Pakistan with physical attendance as well as virtual/online participation through Zoom meeting (i.e. hybrid meeting). The Meeting will be hosted by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The Meeting of SATRC Working Group on Policy, Regulation and Services is a part of the activities of SATRC Action Plan Phase IX (SAP-IX) which was adopted by the 24th Meeting of SATRC (SATRC-24) held in 2023. It will be the first meeting of the Working Group under SATRC Action Plan Phase IX and it is expected to discuss the Work Items assigned to the Working Group by the SATRC Council.

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) will organize the 1st Meeting of the APT Conference Preparatory Group for World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (APG27-1) from 3 to 6 June 2024 in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China with physical attendance as well as virtual/online participation through Zoom meeting (i.e. hybrid meeting). The meeting will be hosted by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), People’s Republic of China.
